Clouds 2

by jexmas on November 25, 2015

In the clouds
I see the faces of puffy white things
Rabbits, dogs, humans
Indistinct dreamlike expressions of life
Reflected in the vapors up above
Rorschach inkblots floating through time
Inviting us to interpret life
As we see it, as we want it to be

I wonder how clouds
Are so varied in density
And even in color
Ranging from pure white to heavy gray
Just before the rain

Heavy gray clouds give way to tears
Pouring over our landscapes
In windswept sobs
Clouds wash us with grief
Remind us of our fleeting lives
Mutter to us in evaporated mists
Carried on the winds of uncertainty
